Who We Are

Sunnyside Design Studio was founded with the intention of working with local businesses, individuals and families to create modern and functional spaces.

What We Stand For

Small is Beautiful

I love working with small (even tiny!) houses and businesses. Great design is not exclusive to mansions and big budgets.

Sometimes small is better.

I am a firm believer that a well thought-out and carefully considered space plan is more efficient and easier to use than simply adding more space.

We're small - On purpose.

Being a boutique interior design firm keeps it nimble; it keeps my overhead low, allows me to give more personal attention to each client, and allows me to collaborate with other creative individuals as needed on projects.

Residential Design

I believe that all homes should reflect the character of those who live there. I strive to create spaces that are efficient and thoughtful - I listen to you for your ideas, wishes, loves, hates, budget, & timeline.

Residential design services are great for homeowners who want to partner with a professional who will take a creative and thoughtful approach to your project. Whether you simply need a point in the right direction or if you want us to handle all of the details from start to finish, I will work with you in a fashion that is collaborative and meets your needs.

"We have greatly enjoyed working with Amanda. As first time home remodelers, we weren't sure what type of help we needed (whether an architect, designer or kitchen designer) for our kitchen/office/dining room remodel. We were referred to Amanda and are very happy with the design she created for us and enjoyed the process. It was nice working with her as she understood the structural elements (we took down 2 walls one of which was load bearing) as well as we benefitted from her interior design expertise. She is very easy to work with, is always on time and within the budget we had discussed and has been helpful with one-off questions after our design was completed. We look forward to working with her on our next set of remodel projects." - Heather A.

Hi, I'm Amanda.

I founded Sunnyside Design Studio with the intention of working with local businesses, individuals and families to create modern, functional spaces.

As a graduate from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, I have over a decade of experience creating spaces primarily in the hospitality and commercial sector. I've had the privilege to be a part of talented design teams in highly-regarded architecture and design firms in Denver, while working on large and small-scale projects nationwide.

My wanderlust has carried me around the globe and allowed me to work in the international design community; most recently in Mozambique where my husband and I lived in a reed hut in a rural agrarian community. Now I'm excited to turn my attention a little closer to home and to work with local businesses, restaurants, and my neighbors in Denver.

My design aesthetic is modern, featuring clean lines and simple palettes. I have a certain penchant for mid-century furniture and reclaimed materials, and I love to work with local artisans and craftsmen to create custom items.

Outside of the studio, I'm often found digging for treasure at estate sales, remodeling our 1926 bungalow, tending to our vegetable garden, and exploring the city from my scooter.
